Major Donor Bursary – IOF North West

August 11, 2011 News 1 Comment

The Major Donor Special Interest Group (MDSIG) committee and TPP, the recruitment consultancy, are delighted to announce a new bursary for major donor fundraisers.

There is up to £1,500 available for experienced or mid career major donor fundraisers who are ambitious to develop their career. The bursary will pay for one individual to undertake mentoring, coaching or training in order to further their major donor fundraising skills and abilities. If required, travel costs will also be covered. The bursary offers you a unique opportunity to develop your career and your professional skills.

In recent years, TPP have found that major donor fundraising is fast becoming one of the most sought after skill sets within the industry and fundraisers with expertise in this area are increasingly in demand.

“TPP is delighted to sponsor this bursary in order to demonstrate our commitment to developing a recognised career path for major donor fundraisers. In addition to being beneficial to major donor fundraisers and the charities we work with, we feel that by supporting your career we are also supporting the development of major donor fundraising overall and further contributing to the sector.”

For full details, see the MDSIG Yahoo E-Group or call TPP on 020 7198 6040, email mdbursary@tpp.co.uk or visit www.tpp.co.uk/mdbursary

My coaching experience so far…

October 5, 2010 Blog 1 Comment

I am currently studying for the ILM Workplace Coaching and Mentoring Qualification. I have been attending the training for the past few weeks now and really enjoying what i am learning.

The focus for the past week has been around communication. Did you know that only 7% of our communication is verbal? The other 93% is a mixture of elements such as posture, eye contact, volume of voice, facial expressions etc. I will certainly think about this next time i am trying to get a delicate message across! I might be thinking i am doing a great job with my selective vocab, although my frown and arms folded posture might not be giving the same message!

I’ll keep you updated with the progress and i will let you know how i get on with my verbal/non verbal communication…!
