Job Title: Get Experienced Project Worker (North)

 

Salary Scale: HC6 – £21,167 to £23,860

NB: The successful candidate will start on the bottom of the scale.

 

Hours of Work: Full time (35 hours per week) – working hours to be agreed in conjunction with line manager

 

Responsible To: Project Co-ordinator

 

Based at: Office accommodation and various outreach locations in North Manchester and The Grange Community Resource Centre, Beswick, Manchester

 

Main Purpose: To assist in the development and delivery of the Get Experienced Volunteering Project to enable groups and individuals to access volunteering placements that build capacity and improve employability.

Based at Heald Green, Cheadle, Cheshire

Salary £26,692 – £39,250 pa
NHS Pension Scheme (dependent on current situation), or Stakeholder Pension Scheme

St Ann’s Hospice is one of the UK’s largest hospices providing specialist palliative care for adults with life limiting illnesses & their families for communities across Greater Manchester.

Our annual running costs are around £9m per year, of which £6m needs to be raised from voluntary contributions. This role will work alongside the Director in motivating and managing a dedicated fundraising team.  You should be an enthusiastic, self motivated individual with a background in income generation.

You should be a good team player with proven organisational and leadership skills.  Excellent communication skills are key, as is the ability to demonstrate a “hands on” approach to support the team in delivering a diverse range of fundraising initiatives.

Sale West Community Urban Trust would like to employ a half-time Children and Families Community Worker, to work in Sale West. To work with local people and partners to provide activities, resources and learning opportunities
for children, parents and carers, to help their physical, mental and economic wellbeing. The post-holder would be an advocate for children,
and their families. You will work closely with all the partners involved in the Sale West and Ashton Partnership, including the Children’s Centre, the Police, the Probation services, Social services, the Health visitors, the Health
Improvement services, Irwell Valley and Trafford Housing, the Youth services, the local schools, the local churches and local volunteers and community groups.

Volunteer Coordinator pt – Action for Sustainable Living

 1 x Part time Volunteer Coordinator (0.5WTE, maternity leave cover)

Salary £23,050 pro rata (£11,525)

We’re looking for an experienced Volunteer Coordinator (VC) to join us on a part time basis for twelve months (approx) maternity cover. The VC recruits, trains and supports volunteers to take part in fun community sustainability projects that are led by Local Project Managers (voluntary). The VC also supports core volunteers who help with office and development activities, including the support and supervision of a Volunteering Programme Interns who assist in the development of specialist subject areas such as training, support, volunteers’ recognition and recruitment.

 The Volunteer Coordinator will be working with communities across South Manchester as part of Action for Sustainable Living’s Big Lottery funded project ‘Green Seeds’.  The Green Seeds team engages local people and partners in wide-ranging community sustainability and environmental projects.

 This fixed term contract will start in early January, with a two day of handover period in December. The role requires a commitment of 20 hours per week spread over and there will be some degree of flexibility available in scheduling.

Chorlton Good Neighbours Care Group wishes to appoint a part-time worker based in the office with some outreach work.

This post is temporary until 31st March 2012, but with potential to continue.

We are seeking a person who has experience of working with older people to join our team of staff and volunteers, and support the work of this well established Neighbourhood Care Group. Car driver/owner preferred.
